How do I get from Toyko to Hakodate? I'm planing a trip to Hokaido around July and August. I will spend about 1 week there. How long should I stay in Hakodate? Is 3 days enough?

You can take the night train (Northern Star) from Ueno station in Tokyo to Hakodate.

Hakodate is a beautiful city, you can stay from one to three days. In theory you can get to all the interesting places in one day. But if you like hiking, there are plenty places for that activity.
