Someone told me he had found some "faces" on some of my photos and emailed me two links: "hakodate city museum of photographic history" and
"cameras in photographic museum"
I found them on two photos. They look like some kind of stains on the wall. They were both taken in the same place. It was interesting but nothing too amazing so I didn't reply to him right away.
But some time later, when I was sorting through my photos, I found another picture with a face on it... now that is spooky.
The photo is "old hakodate public hall", taken on the same day, within a few minutes walk from the first building.
I tried to contact the guy who emailed me before (his email was kayhan1967@yahoo.com), but my email got bounced back, undelivered. If you are kayhan1967, can you email me? I just want to know if you find any other "faces". I tried to look for it myself, but didn't find anything other than the one in Hakodate Public Hall. Of course I didn't go through them one by one, there were too many, and most of them are kind of boring.
1) Hakodate city museum of photographic history (\..\45 hokkaido\1031 hakodate\061031175527 hakodate city museum of photographic history) This picture shows the antique cameras on the second floor. There is also a stereoscope with photos taken at the beginning of the century.
Exhibition on the first floor is free, the second floor cost 200Y for entry.

As you can see, there is a face on the wall behind the 3 cameras. I am not sure what it means. It looks like some kind of stain. Or perhaps it was a local custom to paint face on the wall (for protection against the evil)? If you are a local from Hakodate, can you tell me if this is a common practice? (my email is at the bottom of this page, i.e. contact: webmaster). 2006:10:31 17:55:27 | | 2) Cameras in photographic museum (\..\45 hokkaido\1031 hakodate\061031180227 view--cameras in photographic museum) *** ghost face photo 2 ***
I took another picture in the same location. The face was still here, so I think it has nothing to do with anything super natural. I didn't notice the face when I took the picture, so I think it's probably not very visible for the naked eyes. Someone suggested me to email the museum to ask about the face. But even if I can find their email, I can't write Japanese. same location as last photo 2006:10:31 18:02:27 | | 3) Old hakodate public hall (\..\45 hokkaido\1031 hakodate\061031182631 view--old hakodate public hall) *** ghost face photo 3 ***
Now this picture is interesting. I found this "face" myself. It's on the floor beneath the first light. I am not very sure if this classifies as a face. It has a white color on it, so it may be just a reflection. It's definitely not something painted on the floor. Anyway, I just think it's kind of interesting. You can never tell what your camera will capture.
This picture was taken in another building, a couple minutes away from the "Hakodate photographic museum". I was the only one on the second floor of the building at that time. There were two staffs at the entrance of the building downstairs. walk 0.06 km SW from last photo 2006:10:31 18:26:31 | |
I had visited the cemetery earlier at the morning, and I found a doll in the cemetery. I am not sure if it's related to that incident.
If you find any "faces" on my photos, can you let me know? My email address is at the bottom of this page (use contact webmaster).
